It must be so tempting Wendy but as you say you can't take her because you feel sorry for her. I'm sure that someone will eventually come along who will love her. Hard though isn't it!
I always think how wonderful foster people are. They must get so attached to a dog, but if they didn't let it go there wouldn't be that space for another one to be cared for.

Glad Valentina is coming along so well. A lovely girl with a beautiful name and lovely you for giving them the confidence they badly need, through the love you give to them )like(

Woo hoo.
Just spoke with Jackie, the manager. She said they have had a number of enquiries about Valentina. How brilliant. No definates, but at least she is starting to sell herself. >fi<
The staff all say she is a different dog.

From the day after the bite I went to see Valentina.
For a couple of weeks. I was in a room with her, no walking I am afraid. But now I am all healed we are back to our usual regime.
She has done so well, wags her tail when people go by and on Sunday she even had a serious enquiry. She went to meet the people in the Wendy house and was her lovely self. Sadly they will be starting a family next year and we don't think Valentina could live with that stress. But they thought their parents maybe interested. So all keep your fingers crossed.

Tina is now lovely. She says hello to everyone she meets with a waggy tail.
Stops to say hello, rather than me stopping. In the kennel she come forward and greets people. Such a different little girl. She can now be walked by the other volunteers and has gone off site walking with other dogs.
My work is done !
Of course I won't abandon her and will always take her out. But now she is only having 30 minutes. This way I probably will be able to look at another problem dog.
