how much for eye cream???
how much for eye cream???I thought I might try to do something about the increasingly large bags and dark shadows under my eyes. The cure might be sleeping more than 3 hours a night, but failing that I saw some eyecream advertised. It's £50! There are others, but all the ones I saw in the shop were about the same price. For that money I'll keep the bags and shadows I think.
In the back of my mind I remember cucumber as a soother, but what about some alternatives? Any advice welcome. Bea; 19 hens (most of whom I intended to get); 6 bantams (which I never intended to have); old Benji dog and young Toby dog (who I definitely wanted). Three years into country living and loving it.
Re: how much for eye cream???Yes I would say sleeping a little longer may help. Have you seen the GP for help. I still have to have it, sadly.
I don't know about bags under eyes, as I, fortunately, don't have them. But I always use Bio oil on my face, twice a day. For the wrinkles. About £12.00 for a large bottle. http://www.busheyk9.co.uk
If you can't be a good example........ you will just have to be a horrible warning
Re: how much for eye cream???Apparently if you keep a couple of teaspoons in the fridge then place them on your eyes for a couple of minutes when you get up, it helps bags under the eyes. Never tried it but it's free so might be worth a go?
No girls at the moment but look forward to getting more in the future. Proud mummy to Hector, a Bedlington Terrier x Jack Russell
Re: how much for eye cream???Ive also heard that cucumber is good for tired eyes, and also used tea bags
Lidl do a very good skin care range, which is comparable to big name brands but a fraction of the cost... I use thier hand cream and its actually very good... I seem to remeber them having an eye cream I also heard that one of thier own brand perfumes is very similar in smell to a certain number 5 , I cant confirm though as i dont wear perfume anymore As for sleeping, i use a few drops of batch rescue night remedy, works a treat for me , Good luck, I hope you find something that works for you Happy to have shown Titchy Clucker a little corner of France

Re: how much for eye cream???Thanks for the suggestions. I might try the teabags and cold teaspoons (thank heavens no-one else sees me first thing in the morning).
As for sleeping, I can't remember when I last slept well. Certainly not for the last 40odd years. I used to say that insomnia was only a problem if you let it be, but I'm revising my opinion now. The aches and pains of old age mean that I'm no longer warm and comfortable and can just lie and listen to my radio. I think I need a new mattress. The one I have is very firm because it was recommended for back care. However, I now get a sore hip (poor old thing). I'm in a hotel bed later this week and they're usually much softer. Let's see if it makes a difference. Thanks again. Re: how much for eye cream???A memory foam Topper is much cheaper than a new mattress and are really comfortable.

Re: how much for eye cream???
- the mind boggles I tried a few facial products (sorry, none came anywhere close to £50!) and found my skin reacted to some of them. I also tend to suffer from dry skin on my hands (I must wash them umpteen times a day at work) and needed a moisturiser that didn't leave the skin greasy. That's when I started using Nivea Soft (Refreshingly Soft) which contains jojoba oil and vitamin E. As the description is for face, body and hands, I started using it on my face and I'm happy with it. Price - about £2.50p for 75ml
Re: how much for eye cream???Hi Lancashire Lass. I use Nivea - someone gave me a gift set one Christmas and apart from a "special" Clinique moisturiser that I use and get given for birthdays etc I really don't spend money on cosmetics or fancy skin stuff.
On Friday I'll be at Crufts and hope to find the woman selling a barrier cream and handcream that I bought last year. They are based on bee products, were cheap as chips and helped a lot. I cannot work in gloves, so am frequently scrubbing my hands with a nail brush. Re: how much for eye cream???I use the body shop hemp cream for my face, being outside an awful lot, makes my skin very dry and ive been very impressed with it

Sara XxX Re: how much for eye cream???Just to let you know of a 'different' method for bags, although I have not tried it myself as dont seem to have any.
It is said that if you use pile cream the bags will decrease and tbh if the cream can shrink piles I see no reason why it would not shrink the bags under your eyes. Now you all know I am crazy. LOL Anyone prepared to give it a go? |
