One of my jobs on the To Do List is pollarding an Oak up the garden so I thought I'd start today. I thought I'd begin by stripping out the little branches off the main branches starting from what I could reach from ground level and it was going well. Then I got the step ladder out to get a bit higher which was made a bit trickier by the wind blowing the branches about. Then I got the big ladder out and rested the top against the first branch I was planning on trimming and climbed to the top. What a mistakea to makea, the wind was really strong and I was waving around like mad, so I bottled it and gave it up as a bad idea for today. Dom
You did the right thing by giving the job away. I can't believe how strong and cold the wind is, especially in June. Hopefully this "breeze" as the weather girl described it, will let you get back to the job very soon
