Red legged bee

It took me ages to get this photo. I am curious as to why he has red legs. I have had lots of bees in my garden but this one seems to be different from the others.

Wonder if it's picked up some rather red pollen?
Bees do carry pollen sacs on their legs, round about where the red lumpy bit is.
