Mrs Fab´s surgeryMrs Fab´s surgeryMrs Fab had surgery on her groin yesterday to put right something called Gilmore's groin. Though she had to have a general anaesthetic, she was in and out in a day. She's very sore today but has been up and about and has been told she needs to go out for a walk for four or five times a day.
We have to say the hospital staff were absolutely marvellous. Thank goodness for the NHS. It may come in for criticism from time to time but where would we be without it? Michael
Re: Mrs Fab´s surgeryOuch! Poor Mrs Fab, I hope she's on the mend soon.
Yes, we are so lucky to have the NHS Lucy x

I have nothing but praise for our NHS. Re: Mrs Fab´s surgeryGet well soon Mrs Fab.
Yes, I think we forget how lucky we are with our NHS services. Helen xx

Re: Mrs Fab´s surgeryI hope that Mrs Fab will make a speedy recovery after her surgery. I've never heard of Gilmore's groin but have now. I'm so curious as to who Gilmore was that I will look it up.
For Mrs Fab I am now a widow and live with my memories.
Re: Mrs Fab´s surgeryBest wishes to Mrs Fab.
Re: Mrs Fab´s surgery
This condition is named after Jerry Gilmore, the London surgeon who first recognised this syndrome in 1980. It is far more common in men than women but her surgeon 100% convinced he knew exactly what the problem was. Hopefully, he's now fixed it. She is up and about and takes a very slow walk round the block 3 or 4 times a day now. Michael
Re: Mrs Fab´s surgeryNot heard of it either.
I hope she continues to recover quickly http://www.busheyk9.co.uk
If you can't be a good example........ you will just have to be a horrible warning
Re: Mrs Fab´s surgeryI'm so sorry Michael, another thread I've overlooked.
I hope Mrs. Fabs is now recovering, if not back to norm. Richard New Member? Get more from the Forum and join in 'Members Chat' - you're very welcome
