Rather distressing photo's of Megan when she was first recue

Post by wendy »

A friend found the rescue that took her in after she was found. The companion she was with had to be out down, as it was so starved.

She is laying by my side, nicely plump and snoring in a comfy bed.
This story does have a happy ending and she is dearly loved.

Heartbreaking, poor girl.
No girls at the moment but look forward to getting more in the future. Proud mummy to Hector, a Bedlington Terrier x Jack Russell

Oh Wendy, doesn't it just make you so thankful that you are the one to give her all that she has missed in the past.
Our boy Beau was in a similar situation and like Megan it is hard to imagine them back there. What breaks my heart is the knowledge that dogs and other animals are still today living in such misery.
I'm sure you do love her to bits and like us still feel a sense of compassion towards your pet for all the awful years it has had to endure, even though she is now in a loving home.

An extra cuddle for your lovely girl. {hug}
I am now a widow and live with my memories.

Yes it is very upsetting to see them as they 'were'.
But very comforting to know neither of them will ever have to endure anything like that again.
And yes, sadly there are still dogs used as breeding machines.
Every single puppy bought in pets shops, most puppies bought on line and those from car parks. This is what their parents are going through day in, day out for the whole of their lives. Until they are thrown out to fend for themselves !
