at the allotment we are only allowed a bonfire on the Saturday closest to Bonfire Night if given permission by the council (I've never seen a refusal in 10 years so it's presumed as given)

Piles of wood are clearly being put together for the day on several plots - I know there are hedgehogs on our site (or did have as I've seen one, unfortunately dead) I think I'll make a poster to put up on our allotment shop to remind people to look for {hog} {hog} {hog} before setting their wood pile alight
