Just repeating what others have said Wendy and I do hope that the people who reserved her go ahead with the rehoming. Everything that can be crossed is crossed! {hug}

That's unbelievable. What a shame for the poor little thing. Possibly she's better off without them but it must be a blow.

I don't know how you do it. I'd have a house full of dogs by now.
Bea; 19 hens (most of whom I intended to get); 6 bantams (which I never intended to have); old Benji dog and young Toby dog (who I definitely wanted). Three years into country living and loving it.

Gee, what idiots are out there!

Did they give any reason for bringing her back, Wendy?

About 15 Gwen !.
But geez this dog has only been there three days.
Dog reactive....yes I had spent 30 minutes with you and the dog, telling you this and what to do. She kept looking under cars :? Wouldn't look at them, well actually she doesn't know you ! Showed her teeth..........WHAT did you do ? as she hasn't shown any signs of that, with anyone at the kennels. I am sure they wouldn't try to exert anything on one of the dogs in the kennels. So why push it when you have only had her a couple of days. Give them time to trust.
As usual I am sure they expected a 'normal' dog in 5 minutes. Not possible. If they walk through a rescue door and stay a day or so...... they have a problem. Their whole life is turned upside down.
Just no commitment given to poor Sally

That's sickening, Wendy. I hope they ban those people from ever setting foot in the place again. They don't deserve to have a dog. I hope someone nice comes along to give her a home.

Sally

Post by wendy »

Since Sally has been back she seems to appreciate me more )grin2(

She stays with me in that paddock now, rather than snuffling off on her own.

I have taught her twists, go hide and peek a boo. This is on top of the staff teaching the basics sit, down, stand etc.

She is dog reactive, but we have been working on this....again. She is getting to be a good girl.
Today I had to walk her don the m ain part, with dogs one side and she didn't bark once.
She barked at Nellie on the way back. But Nellie started it !.
I am proud of how well she I doing.

Sally went to her new home this morning. So please all >fi< that she is there forever.
I didn't say anything, in case I put a jinx on it.

I will be starting on Thursday with a staffie cross called Dudley.
I wanted to post a photo. But photobucket doesn't want to join in today.
If anyone knows of another site I can use I would appreciate it
