Paris

Post by wendy »

Now Sally has a home.
Jackie, the manager, has asked me to take on
Paris, another Lurcher.
Very pretty, looks like she has Saluki in her.
An awful lot of scars on her leg and back, so maybe a travellers dog.
She is frightened of her own shadow. Tomorrow I will go in her kennel and let her know I am going to be her new friend.

Here is a photo of her

Oh, Wendy she IS absolutely gorgeous. I think I have fallen in love, she really is a very beautiful dog.

Do you know any of her history, age, reason for being in rescue etc?

She is one very lucky girl to have found you.

She is about 3 Gwen
I would say a 'travellers' dog. A lot of bite scars on her back leg and back.
Not certain if she was a stray.
Absolutely frightened of everything.
First time I had her out. It took me [ and two others ] 10minutes to get her to walk across the bridge over a little stream. Next day not so bad. Yesterday she hesitated, but did it bless her.

That's a gorgeous dog.

Tomorrow I meet my BiL's new rescue dog. I advised him not to get a dog that needed huge amounts of exercise because he is older than me and has a few health problems. Also, when he goes away we have his dog at our house so it needed to be light enough for me to get into our car. It seems he's come back with a German Shepherd cross. My only consolation is that it will be bright enough (and big enough) that I can teach it to get into my car by itself.

Good luck with Paris. I really like the look of her.
Bea; 19 hens (most of whom I intended to get); 6 bantams (which I never intended to have); old Benji dog and young Toby dog (who I definitely wanted). Three years into country living and loving it.

Oh Wendy! What good news! She looks to be such a beautiful dog, she deserves a new home. What a wonderful superpower you have - making dogs happy again. Fingers crossed that it works out for her, >fi< .
