Dust bathing sparrow

Post by jemberelli »

Excuse the quality of the pics, I only had my phone with me. Today I spent ages watching a little sparrow (I think!) dust bathing in the newly dug over veggie bed. I no longer have my chooks and I used to love watching them in a dust bath so it was great to see this little dot of a bird having such a great time

sparrows are so sweet, I was watching one this morning collecting dog hairs from the lawn, eventually it looked like it had a huge moustache!

Great to see !!

House Sparrow numbers have dropped about a third in recent years so all the more reason to promote them and make them welcome.

As many of us do )t' )t'
