Little guests!

Post by p.penn »

I have 2 little guests staying on my kitchen table for a few days, a day old bantam and a 4 day old quail {hug}

My daughter is on holiday, and actually wouldn't have deliberately hatched at this moment in time, but when she lost all her chooks to the fox a few weeks back, one friend brought round hatching quail eggs, and another bantam eggs! So the hatching dates were not overly convenient for her!

Sadly, she encountered an unexpected and what turned out o be fairly devastating problem. The auto turner on her incubater broke, and she didn't notice for a while, so the eggs weren't turned for a short while, and most of the quail died after hatching as a result of this {cry}

Still, there are two dear little chicks in my kitchen, and I am just hoping they are still here when she returns in a few days!

I don't think so, but I'm not an expert!
