Storing snowdrop bulbs - advice, please

Post by Freeranger »

Hi,

The area where the snowdrops are needs a serious assault to get trees out and weeds blocked out with fabric. I want to be able to replant and separate the snowdrop bulbs afterwards. Can anybody tell me how to look after them once they're dug up? And when to plant them again? Thanks for any advice.

I have a feeling that snowdrops are planted 'in the green'. Which I take to mean, treat them as you would a herbaceous plant. Dig them with roots and plant them straight away (in a temporary trench maybe).
