Hello. Can't remember if I've mentioned this elsewhere. Shed of the Year starts on Friday on Channel 4, at 8pm. There will be four programmes over four weeks. My Budget category will be on the last programme on August 19th. If you watch the whole lot you will see me popping up in the audience throughout. I am wearing a pink and white dress. I believe it has been advertised in the TV supplement of the Daily Mail yesterday, with a picture of my shed.

Watched Shed of the Year last night. I loved the "village", but wasn't happy with some of the judges' decisions. Spotted you Ilona!

Hi. The first round of judging was decided on a public vote, so the four judges had nothing to do with who won each category. The number of votes each shed received is not made public. I do agree though that the two winners on Friday were not really sheds. One cost £40,000 to build, and the other was a joint effort which took 16 years to build.

There are 8 categories to reflect the diversity of the sheds, I'm glad mine is in the budget with other self build sheds. Keep watching because there will be more interesting sheds to follow.

I absolutely agree with your comments about the £40,000 shed, and the "barn-type" shed, Ilona!

Hi Mo, in advance of what? The filming or the television programmes?

Correct Mo. Filming was finished a few weeks ago, and I was there. +f+

So you're not telling.

Did you know before filming?

We knew nothing about the results before the final filming at Lillibrook Manor. We hadn't seen each others sheds, except what was on the Shed website. We had to sign a document to say we would not talk about what happened at the presentations. To tell people what happened would spoil it for those who like to follow it week by week and wait for the surprise.

I must admit I've only agreed with one winner so far.
I mean how can a 'Shed' be designed and built in another country, shipped over?
The bloke who owns it hasn't done a thing really.

Plus that West Indian chappie should have won the Studio, so imaginative and at least looked like a shed.
The first one which revolved...a Shed ?? Some things are more a Folly or just a smart outbuilding.
I think the definition of the word Shed has been stretched to the limit.

At least yours looks like a Shed Ilona )t' )t'

I'm really struggling with this series. Oh well, will keep watching.

It' slike many programmes Mo, University Challenge, The Apprentice etc are all recorded a while before transmission and the participants sign almost the Official Secrets Act !

I have ringed the programme to watch tonight.

I agree with you Richard, amazing how some of the "sheds" got into the programme.
