Evening all,
As you will know if you have seen my other two threads, I'm venturing in to chicken keeping
I've been looking into feeders and have narrowed it down to three types. Grandpa's feeder, Trigger happy feeder, and a generic treadle feeder.
I want to be able to leave the food in the run (as rodent safe as possible) and be able to stock it with a couple of days food in case I'm away for an odd night.
From what I've read I really like the sound of the Grandpas feeder but is it worth the £112?
I have been looking also at the trigger happy chickens feeder. There's a guy on eBay selling the complete feeder with trigger happy fitted for £22.50 delivered. It's a lot more attractive price wise to the grandpa's feeder but is it money well spent?
The other option is a generic treadle feeder, are they any good?.
Please, if you have any experience with any of the mentioned feeders could you take a minute to post their pros and cons to help me?
Many thanks
