Third cockerel....................жълти (Zhulti) joined the "crowers" today, that now leaves two suspects left to declare themselves.............not looking good!!

Add a fourth and that is Baby, the fifth suspect is playing clever and keeping quiet but now we have an idea what we are looking at he is now considered a confirmed cockerel!!

So decision time approaches on who to keep.................

Ah Ah! All five happily crowing away this morning, no trouble between any of them but some of them will have to go...............

So did you end up with 5 of each?

Afraid so Mo but couples do not seem to work in the world of chickens so we have to make some harsh choices now. We knew nothing when we started keeping chickens and have learnt as we have gone along thanks to advice from people on here but they are great fun to keep.

What a shame. I have read that the average is fifty fifty so I guess that proves it in your case. A difficult decision ahead for you.

Sorting the issue out now, not pleasant and not what we expected when we happily took on the chicks after being told they were all hens and would supply us with plenty of eggs. We live and learn as always especially that not all things have a happy solution but you have to be practical about these things no matter how unpleasant.
