New denture - mouthful of plastic

Post by Spreckly »

Today I finally got my new denture (top), after an extraction, and several visits to the dentist for impressions, fitting, etc. After my old one, which must be upwards of fifteen years old, this new one, with two extra teeth and masses of plastic, seems enormous. I find swallowing rather different, if not difficult, and taking a tablet was interesting. I have several to take during the day, so we will see.

I remember that Richard had a whole new smile some while ago, and he hasn't mentioned anything recently, but I am wondering how long this plastic affair will take to get used to! yike*
