Daphne's doing well !!

Post by Richard »

You may recall I had a poorly fox wandering around the garden about two months ago so I started feeding her up a bit with (Tesco's Own) Cat Food.

What a difference she is now, except she sits outside waiting for me to feed her now - anywhere between 1.30 and 4.00pm.

Good for her.

I know some may wonder why, but wild life is wildlife. Foxes are wild and they're alive :-D :-D
Plus there's no livestock anywhere near here.

What with her and Hedgehog getting half a packet a night !!

Hi boodlies

It would be nice.

I only feed her up the end of the garden now. Although she knows me and will walk over for her food when I'm about 10 feet away, I try not to make her too human approachable.

The Hedgehog - had to move his or her food into the shed and redesign what once used to be a cat hole I think.
Daphne was getting in there and nicking it - caught her on my night camera )t' )t'

She caught a Pigeon the other day and my front garden resembled the John Lewis advert, she was springing up and down !

Aww how lovely. she is.
We have foxes in the field directly behind my house. Our neighbours feeds them. With food I get for them.
I had the chooks for 11 years and never once had a fox strike

Stunning photo of a beautiful creature )like(

We have seen one occasionally wandering around the vegetable/fruit section of our garden, lovely to see but unfortunately they rarely last long if seen in the village as they are shot on sight.

Well done Daphne )t' We have Eddie and Sid, Sid is skittish but Eddie thinks he is my dog! All the foxes we have 'had' in the past have got the mange so keeping a close eye on the boys.

It's so nice to read of Chicken Keepers looking after Foxes.

I should have said I sussed out her getting in for the Hedgehog Food quite a while ago.
After two nights of the food vanishing before the normal time I set the camera up.

Cunning !!

Hoggy has finally gone into hibernation, no food eaten for the last five days.
I have a feeling he or she is actually sleeping in the Shed - it's untidy enough for them to find a cosy hideaway !!

Poor Eddie was holding his front paw last night, shone the torch on it but cannot see any bllod hoping he has just sprained it. Bought him dog food for tonight, was late home so missed him so hope he got it. Will check him tomorrow, just hope he will be okay . Wonder who would be interested if he isnt?

Actually its Sid not Eddie with the bad paw. He seems to be getting a bit better moving quite well. Sure I could entice Eddie into a trap but not sure about the more skittish Sid. If he gets worse I will try Rsp ca..
