I wish you luck with the poor soul and hope eventually he will find some one to enjoy the rest of his life with in good health.

Lots of admiration for you Wendy and the work that you do.

I agree with the comments about giving street cred to certain people too.

When we had our Bella I spent hour upon hour socialising her simply because she was a Staffie and even though she is no longer here I still have the receipt stating quite clearly on it that she was a Staffie. Even then there was always some 'person' (really wanted to put something else there) to offer a remark within my earshot, but supposedly to their own dog about one gulp and you would be gone and 'it' wouldnt even know it had had you, etc

I did consider wearing a sign with:- THE DOG DOESN'T BITE BUT THE OWNER CAN/WILL. However I thought about it some more and decided not to. )w(

I just know you will turn him around, Wendy cause your brill. XXXX

I have spent an hour in the training room with Dudley every day.

Today he snuggled into me and fell asleep, so I spent a lovely hour, just stroking him and telling him he was the best little dog in the World and how good he was etc.
He even started to snore....I think he trust me, hopefully we can keep going forward.
What a sweet dog.

Glad to hear things are going well, )t' I hope his skin problems are also improving.

That just makes my heart melt, Wendy.

I dare say that is the best hours sleep he has had in ages.

Wendy , in the bank yesterday a man came in and said he was in a hurry as his friend had gone off without him knowing and he had no one to look after his dog but he had to come in the bank for some change . I said I would just change it up without going through the machine process but next time even though we have a sign no dogs, bring his dog in and pretend he had not noticed the sign I assured him we wouldnt complain. He said thankyou but he had a staffie and he was worried the other customers may say something. He said his dog was very good natured but people actually crossed the road sometimes when he was out shopping.
Dudley is so lovely bless him

Always having a GSD in the Mix. I have had the same Gwen.
Even with Dave people try to commit suicide and jump into the road to avoid him !

Hi , I have a staff , not through choice but a rescue. She is scared of her own shadow. SHMBO calls her FAT . I call her solid....She runs past me and knocks me sideways 20kilo plus weight .Just by brushing my leg. My Mastif cross is 34 kilos . lots cross the road , dive up paths of houses to get out the way , I thought it was me....
She is getting better now and will go off a track in the woods , after she looks over her shoulder to see me still there.
Previous owner dru.g addict gave to her dad! a drunk who phoned the council to put her down . He did not even recognise her living opposite him.
She gets cold at night so easy ,has to be covered over to keep warm .Mastif has to be very cold to need any covering at all. ! hour plus walks a day. Both on yumove as bad joints. Recommend that highly.

May have turned a corner today.
We actually played fetch for a good 3/4 of an hour and he was wagging his tail all the time.
He is getting a little more confidence daily.
Still poorly skin though. That will be a long haul

Hi I have a rescue staff . Blacck white . Thick set (fat ) 21kilos of pure powrer . Problem with Staffs when the y do bite it is a serious one . grip like a croc.
playful which can be a problem as don't realise what they do.
My Staff is terrified of everything . crosses the road to avoid dogs .
Getting better .Follows Harley and sniffs where she sniffs . Not sure if she nose why. Good at night as white tip of tail you can follow. She stays on the path . Harley heads off into the bushes woods etc and gets you lost .
Very intelligent as only have to point in that direction and she goes . Like all dogs have to be controlled or they become a problem .

I have had him an hour every day until Monday. He was really doing well, in fact so well that one of the staff was able to take him off site. Which is nice for him. His sores were getting better.
Sadly I haven't been there all week as on Monday I had to have a wisdom tooth out and it didn't quite go to plan.
It was fused to the bone, so I had to be cut and have stitches etc. But I also got a small fracture in my jaw. So apart from looking like a lopsided chipmunk. I wasn't allowed to cough, sneeze, clean my teeth that side. Talk of A & E etc. So I have had to take it easy.
The swelling has gone down considerably today, so I am hopeful for tomorrow.
I have really beaten myself up, not going. But I keep having to tell myself. Those that dumped him should feel guilty not me }hairout{

Hi remember the air hostess words . Put the oxygen mask on first before you help others .
Meaning you are not a lot of good ill. Get well so as you can help your friends . Sure he will remember you when you get back.
