... January does tend to be the month when a lot of stuff are in the sales and useful to get such as clothes and food, but I don't think Frugal February is about stocking up in January, not spend a penny in February, and defer the debt to March {rofwl}

Yes, it is easy enough to make one month's figures look good.

Hi did not say I would get in debt ....
I do not spend a lot on my self for sure . The hens dogs , cats get most of my cash ....
Lots of stories behind my situation for sure not to be aired really . I have a budget of little and no cash (self protection ) ....

Well the week starts here.
Have exactly 40 pounds to survive on -Dog food 1 pound a day 2.20 cat food pouches 2.00 dog bone biscuits cat treats 1.00pound chicken food 6.50 mixed corn 20 kilos 6.50 pounds pellets . Cabbage a day 79pence fuel at 1.10pounds a litre .
My food is a couple of loaves 40pence each (Shared with chickens ) 25 pence tin beans x 5
Soup 25 pence a tin x 5 . coffee ok 1 pound milk x 2 week
Cheap pizza 60pence each .Pasta stocked up and a couple of jars pasta . Maralade 27 pence jar . Plus the reduced counter any money left .
Plus side any odd cash I can make this week (possibly 90pounds )
So this week I may have to return the cash to other half with bonus.
Quick add up approx. 63,12 spending -90pounds equals a 26.88pounds towards next weeks.

Doing well myself but as valentines day have bought SHMBO presents . 14 days of valentines....
But spent very little . Crumpets reduced 40pence breakfast and 2 tins of beans in sauce 25 pence each for lunch and left over pasta tonight . 30 sauce and 25 pence pasta cooked yesterday so food spent a little. Fill tank tomorrow.

Collected food delivered to SHMBO by van delivery last night . ? on the cost . Other than fresh milk /bread enough to get through a good couple of weeks . So much could not pack it in cupboards . Basic brands . Only trouble is that I do not eat a months food in a week ... Weight is going to go up if not careful.

That's a good price - ours was nearer £7.
I sometimes worry that we eat food just because it's there. I don't buy snacks at all, but OH seems to only go a couple of hours before refuelling. Maybe it's a man thing.

Hi this is a bit like dieting .....
30 pounds of fuel , chicken feed 18.00 pounds a fish food . Cabbages , broccoli and oranges (box ) 16pounds . 2-1 pizza Monday night made two diners (Ate 1 and 1/2 at 2.00am Tues morning watching tele. 19.00pounds (huge )
It was a holiday ?
Milk and bread (reduced ) 2.00pounds .
Hopefully gain a couple of quid next couple of days .
Fixed neighbours leaking sink drain pipe . Free diner Friday night .(payment ) Lamb joint each .
Couple of quid Monday / Thurs meeting contributions .
Still plenty of food in cupboards . Soup and tin beans and bread seems the easy diet I am on .
Lazy and trying to get down weight for bike ride end of month and start of the season .
Have to fix bike up may cost a couple of quid .
Due to get a few quid for a car sale from dealer .Plus another when sold so should get more in than spent .
Mortgage reduced by 50 per cent which is quite a lot .
Settle down now to work till end of month.
Using up last year holiday left overs .
Get 31 days plus bank holidays .
As I do a 3 day week x 2 then a 4 day week . Rest O/T shifts get 10 weeks plus a year .
more headaches trying to fit on calendar .
Suppose I should not book any this month as go on budget costs . Does buying euro count as spending - some money different form .

Hi what with the 32 pounds vet bill Monday .Yesterdaay had a 44 pound bill from the vets for another hen .
Think I will go back to normal save money .
No cash spent and gained a few quid , but soon lost that and more to vet.
