Easter treatsEaster treatsNow I would love to share some of these delights with your good selves but I am afraid I am managing to get through them quite satisfactory on my own!! "Not all those who wander are lost"
Re: Easter treatsIs it bread Trev? It's the thought that counts.
Re: Easter treatsWhat is the bottom photo of? Hot x buns look so good.
I am now a widow and live with my memories.
Re: Easter treatsThe bottom one is Banitsa (pronounced BAH-nit-sa) a traditional Bulgarian pastry eaten at any meal.
The pastry is prepared by layering a mixture of whisked eggs and pieces of white cheese between filo pastry and then baking it in an oven. It is often eaten for breakfast with plain yogurt and can be eaten hot or cold. There many versions of it and everyone has their own recipe, a popular one is made with spinach but I much prefer this one with white cheese. "Not all those who wander are lost"
