Cockeral spurs
Cockeral spursMy Bantum cockerel needs his spurs clipped. Any advice on how to do this?
Re: Cockeral spursI use dog claw clippers, they are pretty tough to cut. Be careful if you take off too much they will bleed, I only take the points off myself so I dont hit the quick - unfortunately they seem to grow back quite quick though! If you need to take more off for some reason you'll need more experienced advice than me.

Re: Cockeral spursHis spurs are like Mammoth tusks. Hidden by his feathers. I realised how dodgy they were when he got caught up on the feeder! Thanks anyway Kiti
