Any Scottish Chicken Keepers on the Forum

Post by stripeddonkey »

Hi,

I just wondered if there are any Scotland based chicken keepers on the forum? Would be great to hear from you if there are. I'm in Refrewshire.

There certainly used to be. And I think there is at least one now. (Freeranger??)
You can look at what people said when they joined - just above the bit that says Last Visit was (top of page on R) is members, there is a column for location. Trouble is many leave it blank, some put a town / county / country / or something else.

Hello to you too. What type of chickens do you keep?

Exciting times for you then. I got my three girls a year ago. Good luck getting the run finished.

Thanks Mo. I'm a year into chicken keeping and enjoying it immensely. How about you?

Actually I know you've been around for a bit so the welcome was for Brigadoon's first (and only) post. I kept hens 40 years ago for a bit, then gave up for 20 years, came back to it for another 10 yrs, but got foxed and as I'm on my own now and the run needed a revamp to be safe I didn't get any more. You can do so much more when there's 2 of you - and 10 yrs makes quite a difference between 60 & 70, and between 6 & 16 though less so in between.
