Any idea what berries these are

Any idea what berries these are

Clive, my daughters dog just ate a couple and immediately fitted.
Been to the vet and he made him sick and charcoal given
Just wondered what they are

That's what I thought, but someone thought the leaves weren't right and it could be a cherry. But are wild cherries poisonous to dogs ?

Wrong leaves for Rowan.
But I have googles and there is a Cowberry or lingon Berry ?

Hope everything is OK.
Was it a bush or a tree, Wendy? The reason I ask is years ago where we lived the streets were lined with trees with similar berries on and I was always told not to put them in my mouth. They were quite squishy when they fell on the floor. Sorry, don't know what tree it was though.

Perhaps it is a type of honeysuckle. I seem to remember reading that they are poisonous to chickens.

To be honest Gwen, it was struggling to survive growing
out of a crack in the concrete. By the looks of the photo.
So could be a tree or a shrub

Cotton Easter? They make a great hedging plant but the berries are toxic to dogs and us.

Just a guess...............

That makes sense. And they do seem to pop up in odd places - must dig out the one by the path next to the fruit bushes

how about pyracantha? the leaves have rounded tips a bit like your photo, & the berries are poisonous to dogs
