Them there Foxes are noisy !

Post by Richard »

There's two Foxes making a right barking in the front and back garden here, don't know if one of them may be a Cub from last year.

But a sign we're in the middle of mating season, so they're about.

For those who've had a lot of snow it's a good time to inspect around the Run.
The last time I lost Chickens to a Fox was during snow, it's surprising the weight it causes plus, if deep snow, it's less of a height for them to jump over and in.

Hi Richard , I saw a fox at the end of my road , a young new one to the street. Well away from my flock .
The flock are waking up early and crowing etc. I blamed my cats running around the roofing , but beginning to think it is the fox.

Going to put more solid caging around the runs as a preventative measure .
Thought a bit early for mating more like sorting out hunting area`s .
