Made 1 jar of chutney

Post by albertajune »

Today I pulled up my first 4 beetroots. Found a chilli and garlic, had red wine vinegar, onion, raisins and spices so made a jar of my favourite beetroot and chilli chutney. Lovely!

Yesterday I made 1 jar of raspberry jam!
:)
I've never made a single jar of jam before (first time for raspberry too).

Makes sense really to adjust recipes to make less, if that's what you have.

Beetroot and chili sound like an interesting mix.

I have never made 1 jar before either. I usually make far to much and give some away.

Your chutney sounds fabulous June. I normally make ours in September from our tomatoes, apples and onions, so waiting for the produce to ripen.

I will have to sort through my recipes to find this one. I've made it for so many yrs that now I just throw in what I think. If you google beetroot and chilli chutney there are plenty of recipes and all are pretty much the same. I would say add the chillis to your taste. Worth making )t'
