Re: I don't understand!The only thing I can think of is that maybe you are giving them crushed up eggshells in their food without baking them first?
It has to do with soluble/insoluble calcium. If you don't bake the shells, the chooks can't get what they need out of them. Just a thought

I did the deed to the boys today They have gone to the big chicken run in the sky to eat grubs and worms and sweetcorn. sigh Hermione and the 3 BOUNCING BABY BUFFY GIRLIES are doing well. All very active and eating well

I am pretty sure we have 3 girls and 2 boys. Boys will be meeting their maker very soon unless stay of execution arrives by about this time next week Don't want to get too attached!!!

BOYS OR GIRLS?Does anyone have any experience of buff sussex babies? Of my 5 week-old babies, 2 are darker and one of them has a stripe on his head.
