Re: Distressing walkWhy on earth didn't they just put him on a lead when he had finished playing! Goodness knows what they would do with poor Freddie. Yesterday the Farrier came and was getting his stuff out of the van. Freddie was outside sniffing the van when whoose, off he went out the drive, into my neighbours, int...
Re: My Garden Office Interior now complete! How the other half live. I have £1.99 glasses from Lid el's and an old mug for a pen holder. My chair gives up the ghost and collapses and I have a little radiator under the desk and only one screen. Richard's fame has made him so posh but it still looks good.
doggy namesIf the girl ever gets back to me we will go and look at the puppies on Wednesday. We want a little girl who I want to call Daisy, OH wants to call her Lilly to go with Freddie, as in Freddie and Lilly Pargetter in the Archers!
And we haven't got her yet.
Re: My Garden Office Interior now complete! That's lovely Richard. My office is a shed within a shed and it's not nearly as tidy as yours.
Re: Help me make up my mind?Ha, Ha got one! My Mum bought it for us years ago to upset the dogs we had then. It's in the front porch, not plugged in, never had a new battery and it goes off on it's own from time to time. If my Son can work next Wednesday think I will go and see the puppies!
Re: hola25 degrees and sangria, sounds great. Have a good time.
Re: Help me make up my mind? We've just had another chat and yes, Freddie loves company and I was busy today and the only thing I did was to take his half a rabbit away (the head end!). When we lived on the edge of the City there was a big meadow so dogs had lots of friends to play with off lead. Here in the countryside there i...
Help me make up my mind? For about 13 years we had two dogs. We had the second when we moved to the country and there were no other dogs for her to play with. They both passed away within 7 months of each other and nearly 18 month ago we got Freddie, the labradoodle. Now Freddie is a lovely dog and we take him every where b...
Re: Theft of horse equipmentWhen we rented stables we had the whole lot nicked. They put the contents of the tack room (including our kettle!) into our trailer. They jammed the door shut so it would be noticed that it had been broken into. The horses were quite upset. They came back and did over the house where the stables wer...
Re: Sloe gin recipe wanted please! If you google sloe gin you will find plenty. I measured the bottle, put an elastic band round the bottom third, filled it with sloes, the next thrid sugar and topped with gin. I don't think you have to be too exact. Think I WILL have a little taste tonight just to make sure it is going o.k.
Re: Sewing machine ideasThanks Meg. My Daughter has just got a sewing maching so I've sent her the pattern (she also keeps chickens). I am expecting a call to go round and show her how the machine works which will probably take as long as it takes to make the chicken!
Re: stairs! When I was young one of my many jobs was to clean the stairs (no vac). When I got married we lived in the top half of a house, the stairs were ours. I hate stairs with a vengence and when we moved to Norfolk, it was a bungalow and still live in a bungalow. No Bl**dy stairs to climb to check on child...
Re: Is it me, or has the world gone mad?O.K. Confession time. Sometimes when riding you get a drippy nose, not able to fiddle for a tissue so you can guess the rest. (Riders jackets and jumpers are washed often but don't look it!). This gadget would look too obvious for us grown-ups though, wouldn't it? The u tube sequence has been taken ...
Re: Sloe gin (again)I froze mine for a bout a week as I picked them quite early.
I have a pickle fork so just sort of gave them a bashing with that while they were in the container. They were defrosted a bit but there wasn't any juice. Hope this helps, keep thinking about having a little taste.
Re: Sloe gin or VodkaThink it should be a 'down the lane' tasting, then we can all fall together.
