Re: How does your garden grow?

Our east coast weather is very mixed. Heavy frost on Saturday morning followed by a glorious day. My son cut my back and one front lawn, topless. I sat outside with Gracie and debated whether to put a t shirt and a skirt on. The following day it heaved it down, but today is glorious so far. This mor...

That is brilliant, LL. Your friend must be very pleased with the portrait.

Re: What are you listening to?

Queen, Freddie Mercury, just brilliant. Roy Orbison, love his music, Simon and Garfunkel, and I have missed out The Beatles, such talent. I am a devoted fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber`s music also. Dolly Parton, what a voice. I could go on and on, and Chopin.

Re: Trev62-An intermittent gardening blog!

Interesting about the soil from the molehills, Trev We have massive ones in the nearby churchyard. We have them in the gardens in our row. One of my neighbours is setting traps.

Re: Shall I or shan`t I?

I have posted on another thread.

Mo, I agree with you, I told one or two people that I believe it is the owner`s voice as well as the name. I have been repeating Gracie, Gracie to her on many occasions.

Re: Getting back to painting & drawing

The painting and drawing are really good, LL. I did O Level Art at school, but although I passed, it was nothing like the standard you have achieved. I love the tiger.

Re: Shall I or shan`t I?

On Saturday evening I had an email from Angel's previous owner. She had heard via another Sheltie breeder of a sable bitch, five years old. I was given the contact details for the owner, and phoned him on Sunday evening. I was busy all Sunday, or I would have phoned earlier. Holly is everything I wa...

Re: Tasty soup recipes?

When my husband was alive, I made extra mashed potato for our evening meal, and used it the following lunchtime to add to whatever veg we had in, well seasoned.

Still waiting to hear from the Rescue Centres. Adult shelties are hard to find, but I am still hoping.

Thank you all. Yes, I have contacted both Sheltie Rescue, Sheltie friends, and also Rescue centres.

Shall I or shan`t I?

It is so very bleak without Angel. After five solitary weeks, I am thinking seriously about looking for another dog. Shetland sheepdogs are not easy to come by. Puppies, yes, but adult dogs, no. My GP sadi straight away, get another dog, several friends have also advised the same. So I am on the loo...

Re: Electric egg cooker

Never heard of one, LL. I don't have much luck with poaching an egg, despite all the advice. My egg poacher is a nightmare to clean.

Re: How does your garden grow?

My Magnolie Susan has shed all its leaves, and is covered in buds. I have a Liquid Amber tree in the front garden, and planned to photograph it in all its glory, but the wind beat me to it! The odd antirrhinum is flowering in the greenhouse, and my chrysanths are going over. They were nurtured by my...
