Re: Run Flooring

I have put plastic corrugated sheets on the roof and around the bottom part of my run it gives some protection from the rain, I take the side ones off in the summer months.

Re: Can anyone help identify my new girls for me?

Lovely new girls one being a bit camera shy +f+ .
My guess is Nancy is a black rock and Martha is a bluebelle.
On second thoughts Martha does have the Orpington shape of her tail, maybe she's full orpy or crossed with another breed. >fi<

Re: new home needed

Thank you so much tweety, my personal circumstances changed and I believed the only option was to rehome them but I have been able to sort things so I can keep my chooks. I had forgotten I'd not posted an update.
I hope you can find some lovely ladies {hug}

hi, This is a long shot but i am looking for a new home for my 8 chickens, 3 ex-bats and a mix of others plus a bantam cockerel. Re: Red mite

I had a really bad time with redmite resulting in me abandoning my expensive wooden coop in favour of plastic (two of them) only to find this year the numbers multiplied so quickly in the plastic coops my arms were covered with them when cleaning them out. After dismantling the coops and power washi...

Re: redmite again

Horrible blighters aren't they, I had the same so i bought 2 plastic coops, they are back in the plastic coops but theyre easier to clean, it's an ongoing battle isn't it. Plastic is better but it took me a day to dismantle, power wash and reassemble them. I do think though I just washed the red mit...

Re: Sewing newbie

Kate that is cute. Thanks for your replies, I'm already researching on the net and have picked up some tips from a sewing forum and websites. I'm a bit iffy about getting advice from shops until I've done some research as I don't want to be sold a more expensive and elaborate machine than I need, bu...
