I have put plastic corrugated sheets on the roof and around the bottom part of my run it gives some protection from the rain, I take the side ones off in the summer months.

My guess is Nancy is a black rock and Martha is a bluebelle.
On second thoughts Martha does have the Orpington shape of her tail, maybe she's full orpy or crossed with another breed.
