Re: How to re-introduce chicken?

Hi, I haven't been back to the forum for a long while as I have never had any problems until now. I am having this same problem. I had a poorly hen with a leg trauma that was on medicine. I seperated the run so we didn't eat the egg but so they could all still see her. I reintroduced her today in ou...

Thankyou Gwenoakes. The arches are from a viaduct in East Grinstead, West Sussex. The famous Bluebell Railway will be extending to East Grinstead in a few years, but for many years it has had no use.

I have tried to block the nest box off and they just pushed the wood to the side and all climbed in. There are some very knowledgeable people on here, and leavi...

Only had ours a week and must say I cannot believe how quiet they are. Just the odd quiet cluck. Mind you I haven't heard them lay an egg yet.

Thanks for the replys. I agree with you all about bird flu scaremongering. We have had so many scares over the years with different viruses I'm surprised anyone leaves their houses. I think I was gearing my question towards any other diseases really, to do with wild bird droppings as there is so muc...

Newbie pics of run and question about wild bird droppings

Hi every one. This is my first post although I have been reading here since January. I was intending to have the chickens in by March but it now looks like maybe end of May due to shoulder injury and new bathroom fitted. I have found the forum to be invaluable . I am a bit worried about a recent thr...
