Re: What are your favourite Sport's?

Unitll recently I was a serious runner - although my chickens can outrun me on much shorter legs(?!) Now I'm an ex runner with a knackered knee so I've gone back to cycling. http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo180/andywatson_photos/DSC_0125.jpg ps I hope you are still running Sunny B

Re: No-Spend Decorating

I've already posted this but I think worth a repeat: Many specialist paints shops (ie Crown, Dulux, Johnstones Decorataing Centres) mix paints on site using a tinting machine and occaisionally get it wrong or rejected by the customer. This paint which is perfectly usable and high quality is often so...

Re: Mr Spreckly's Bow Top Gypsy Caravans

Possibly of interest as the artwork on some canal boats is similar to vintage caravans. This is the decoration in the back cabin of the replica vintage boat I am building. (which is why I've not been active on here recently) In the small cabin space is at a premium so the bow topped cupboard front d...

Re: Naughty chicken but nice photo

It's not just my chickens who can't behave. This is my fluffy white dog doing what she's good at. http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo180/andywatson_photos/DSCN0519.jpg http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo180/andywatson_photos/DSCN0520.jpg What I can't understand is why she dives in mud, puddles a...

Naughty chicken but nice photo

Mrs W planted some very nice flowers round one of our plum trees.
When Goldie had finished being broody she squashed them into a nice bed which was a bit of a nuisance but made a nice photo:

Re: MEMBERS CHICKEN COOP PHOTO'S (PICS ONLY PLEASE)

Further to my post above: I have added a removable panel to the top 7 " of the door so it's smaller and more bantam sized - for the time being. The floor level is about 9" above ground level so that on the odd occasion when cofined to the run the hens can go underneath. Even when allowed f...

Re: Knee replacement

My mother aged 84 had hers done 2 years ago for the same reason as yourself.
Straightforward operation and no problems have ocurred since.
I'd say go for it and good luck.

Re: Mr Spreckly's Bow Top Gypsy Caravans

I've just had time for a good look at Mr Spreckly's wagonette restoration and I think it really is an outstanding job. The skilled woodwork and recycled items of the fit out have nicely preserved the warmth and character missing from modern caravans. The colour scheme is spot on. Your response to pe...

Re: Mr Spreckly's Bow Top Gypsy Caravans

That really is a work of art. Thanks for posting the results of your talent. I look forward to seeing more of your work. I am currently in the throes of building a narrowboat and am interested in the decorative styles of vintage boats which derived from caravans so there are some interesting links b...

High Quality Paint - CHEAP

I hope I put this in the right place as I'm a newbie - only joined today. Most of the big paints/decorating centres (eg Johnstones and Dulux) have machines which tint base shades of paint on site to the colours on the shade cards. Quite often the machine (or customer) make mistakes resulting in perf...
