Re: TETANUS / TETINUS / LOCKJAWCant have anything like it, I am allergic to both and the horse serum type and the manufactured type. I have been told never go near them . All those lucky people who arent allergic should however be inoculated against this horrible thing.
Re: corrugated plastic ???Why not leave an over hang if it is above head height, it will ensure any drops run away from the run and in the front keep you dry entering the run.
Re: Scorpion saw?The Scorpion saw is brilliant bit of kit, it comes with saws for wood metal and for rough sawing of wood. If you still make a sawing movement whilst the blade does its thing you will find it cuts quicker. I reckon it to be one of the best electric saws on the market.
Re: Condensation on chick run roof.My run has a plastic roof and is sheltered on three sides with more plastic sheeting, When positioning the roof I made sure that the slope was enough for a good run off, then fixed it in position. Thats why roofs are sometimes so steep. That way water above or below in condensation will flow the way...
Re: Pallets - they don't die easily!!!Hi Richard I managed to build a fence and gate from and old pallet to go across my path along the side of my house. I would submit a photo but cant get to do so when I press post a pic it just shows picy in brackets on my posting.
Re: The rain and free ranging in Wales,UKThank you, the flock have acsess to several dry areas ie outside toilet, spare hen houses, but they prefer under the hedges that are dense and surround my garden. I think if I force the issue and heard them into the dry run there would be all hell let loose as 8x10 isn't big for ten hooks, 4 x 1year...
