Re: Remembering School Dinners !!

I remember the mashed potato - served with an ice cream scoop, it was dry and lumpy with a green tinge to it My friend and I always used to try to sit at the tables by the window so we could surreptitiously throw it out. I loved the puddings, semolina, rice pudding, prunes... My favourites were the ...

Re: Coop recommendations please!

Ahhhh, pleased you are returning We had an awful time with wooden coops. They seemed to be permanently infested with red mite and just seemed to warp and rot so quickly. We bought a plastic coop in the end and it was so much easier to keep clean and no red mite We had it for several years before giv...

Cream Legbar cockerel chicks

Just seen a post on our local Facebook page. A lady is looking for a home up to 4 Cream Legbar boy chicks. They have been hatched at her child's nursery and the company who provided the eggs and equipment have told them they will despatch the boys when they collect them. Poor children are upset and ...

Re: Steiffs

I have a beloved Steiff pony called Mary. She belonged to my uncle who came here from Hungary as a boy in the war. He gave her to me when I was small and she went everywhere with me. She's in a bit of a state, the leather on her hooves has worn away revealing the straw stuffing. I've often wondered ...

Re: Advice regarding a kitten

The absolute minimum age a kitten should leave it's mother is 8 weeks but it is preferable to leave them with mum until 12 weeks.

Love kittens!

Re: Query about dog food

Eddie isn't keen on eating dry food on it's own. We always mix in a forkfull of tinned meat in gravy to moisten it and we add some chopped veg too (raw carrot, green beans etc)
