Re: Help to remove oil from driveway.

A 'Poultice' of sawdust and cellulose thinners under a piece of plastic sheet apparently works well, I believe you have to leave it on the stain for a few hours.

Re: 101 Household hints

I believe it's illegal to drink alcohol on some beaches in America, so to get around this they remove the top and bottom from a soft drinks can and slide it over a beer can like a sleeve. Ingenious idea until you get 'merry' and slash yourself on the razor sharp edges.. )hic(

Don't forget to degrease the rad (remove traces of the wd 40) before painting, otherwise the paint won't stick )t'

Re: Brake pads

Hi Jo, "It was 2 front brake discs and 1 front pad." !! Brake pads or shoes (or drums or discs) should only ever be replaced in axle sets - in your case it should have been 2 discs and 4 pads, anything less is potentially dangerous. As to the price a pair of discs can be bought from £70 an...

Re: Mmm..now what shall I make ..

At the moment all I'm pro...

1st problem

I've had my 3 chickens for about 18 months now without a problem so far, until today that is. The one who has always been number one in the pecking order has suddenly started to attack one of the other two with the 3rd bird either joining in or trying to get out of the way (it's hard to tell because...

R.I.P. Keith.

I'm gutted! Keith Floyd has passed on, he was the man who got me 'into' cooking. Without him I wouldn't have attempted anything culinary beyond beans on toast...
Thanks Keith.
