Well the girls have settled in to their new home, alls quiet and have gone to bed. Lovely to watch them foraging on the grass for the first time. Just hope the others rescued have found a good home. Shocking condition.

Thank you for sharing link about dogs, I wont let them around the chickens, I have my parrot out with them sometimes, my border collie disappears upstairs and my staffie who is old keeps one eye on him! I'm intrigued of what the parrot will think of the chickens, and what hell say!

I run animal care at work. We have 3 ex battery chickens nursed back to health. Love them, their so funny. Picking up 7 more on Saturday, 4 for work, three for me to have at home. Never had chickens at home, the coups been painted, got everything I need. Looking forward to giving them a new life.
