Re: Where's Tabatha?Sorry if this is already covered elsewhere, but with our cats we taught them to use the catflap by putting food on the other side of it. First of all we had to prop it open, then we carried on with the food but didn't prop it. They got the message eventually.
Re: Poor old catSo sorry to hear this, Mo - it's very sad.
He had a good life with someone who loved him very much, and who was prepared to make the difficult decision in order to prevent any suffering. I think he was a very fortunate cat.
Re: No alternativeYes, echoing Mo, maybe it would be worth having a word with the pharmacist. (s)he'd be able to tell you at least whether those are expected side effects, and whether another drug might be better - possibly even speak to your GP for you. I don't think it's necessary to feel so grotty from the meds., ...
Re: No alternativeIt sounds as though you're healing nicely. Well done for sticking with it and following your recovery plan. You'll be on to pirouettes in no time!

Re: Christmas cake for 2021 My cake was my aunt's recipe, and called a pound cake. I was going to ask you for your recipe as I've lost my Mum's and she isn't able any more to pass it on. Your aunt's sounds very, very similar. Can you remember how much sugar it takes? I think my Mum used to use treacle instead of sugar, but it...
Re: Christmas cake for 2021It was the icing that was hard, nt the cake!
Re: Christmas cake for 2021It was the icing that was hard, not the cake!
Re: Christmas cake for 2021My Mum would do hers anything up to about six months in advance, and she'd wrap it in foil then once a month or so would prick the base and pour alcohol (usually brandy or whisky) over. About two moths in advance she'd put on the marzipan, then after a fortnight or so apply royal icing - by christma...
