I would advise using them if they are full of ants, as the ants have a tendency to carry everthing else off your plate while you eating, leaving you feeling hungry and confused... :-D ....

I,m another fan of smoked eel, I used to catch them in eel traps along the river hull a long time ago and smoke them in a home made smoker made out of a 45 gallon drum, I havent eaten them for years now.

I have been making/using Comfrey extract for a lot of years, mixed between 10-20% with water makes an excellent feed.

Hi and welcome to the lane solaaris. I have a couple of hens (i,m also a complete newbie to chicken keeping) who look like yours and I think they are more Plymouth Rock, altogether I have 7 , (but that could be changing very soon ). Agree with the poster that warns of the danger from buying from auc...

Just a quick update regarding poorly hen, she is now back down the allotment and doing fine, I was a bit apprehensive about reintroducing her so decided to put in a dish of mealworms in the pen and while the other hens were busy scoffing quitely slip the ex poorly hen with them and hope she wouldnt ...

Follow BillNorfolks advice and they will be fine, a couple of handfulls of Ammonium Nitrate may give them a quick fix to get them greening back up.
