Re: What Planet Are We On? podcasts

I've had a look at the links. The way I understand it is that's it's leading towards The Great Reset. We are heading towards globalisation. It will be on the agenda at the next meeting of the World Economic Forum at Davos, scheduled for April. A lot of it is aimed at big businesses, and how they can...

Re: The post war generation

Did a bit of looking round on the internet and it looks like we had 'Virol'. Anyone remember that? Yes, that rings a bell with me. I woke up this morning with it on my mind. I did think of a couple of possibles but have now forgotten them, a bit like when you can't remember what your dream was five...

Re: The post war generation

Also, I remember having to be spooned some sort of malty/vitamin syrup but I cannot for the life of me remember what is was called, even though I can still remember the taste. Anyone any ideas what it was called? I can remember the three of us lined up every morning each with a teaspoon. Mum scoope...

Re: Things we could 'fix' in the past

My first vehicle was a Bedford Viva van. I went to car maintenance classes at the college, and was allowed to take my van in and fiddle with it. Spark plugs and points. I tried a body repair once, put some filler into a dent, sand it over and paint it.

Re: Have you stocked up just in case?

Brexit is not the only reason why there will be food shortages. There are three crop growing countries in the world who are unable to grow enough to feed their own people, or to export, due to changes in the weather. China are buying up all the soya they can get hold of, a soya shortage will affect ...

First one jabbed this morning. Fancy getting a 90 year old out of bed at 6am just to pose for the cameras.

Re: When it becomes available, will you have the jab?

Thank you Manda for all the information you have shared here. Not long now. The NHS are recruiting people to act as Volunteer Vaccinators. They will be trained to deliver a vaccination to a patient. They will also be ready to act if a patient has an adverse reaction. Looks like it's on it's way. (Fr...

Re: When it becomes available, will you have the jab?

There are six different vaccine developers in the running at the moment. Pfizer say they will be ready next month, Moderna say it will be Spring 2021 when theirs is available, a Russian contender has not yet given out any information. Johnson says the UK had prioritised vaccines of different types w...

I have seen a video about Bill Gates, he wants to vaccinate the whole world, so my answer is no.

Re: A busy time

My mum used to work in the canteen at the Marmite Factory in Burton, she used to bring some home from the staff shop. I liked it, then and like it now, but don't buy it. Too expensive and too much salt.

Re: Sloe Gin

I wouldn't mind trying that, if you could make sloe vodka. I hate the smell of gin. Someone left me a jar of home made damson jam on the doorstep, a friend possibly, I don't know. However, I gave it away. I don't eat jam because of the high sugar content. If someone asks me if I liked the jam, I wil...

Same here, Mo. I've had two text notifications which I have ignored. I am happy to lead a semi reclusive life, and will not be mixing with people.

Re: Off Grid Living

This video has just been posted by John who I mentioned above. I got the story a bit wrong, the piece of land was next to the marital home. He bought it from the person who owned it. In the video he describes how over a period of ten years, he was able to gain permission to stay there. Worth a watch...
