Sharp sand, never looked back! Sooo easy to poo pick! I started off with a cat litter scoop to get the poop out, now I use a garden riddle, just use the scoop to hoy any offending items in, shake the riddle, sand falls away, you're left with just the poop! )t'

I can't help with the manky taste but it does sound you're giving far too many treats.

Pellets all day and a mash just before bed is what I give mine.

The occasional left over veg, but I limit it as melon cabbage etc goes straight through them.

Mine won't be doing a Dorothy, after the last major rebuild I'm pretty sure this coop and run weigh around 3.4 metric tonnes >dowhat<
