The area where the run in has had in the past a problem with ants. I've pointed between all the flags recently, but yesterday my 5 year old girl Grace spotted a couple of the litte monsters! My size 11's soon saw to them, but will they bite the chooks? Or will the chooks eat them? Will diatom see to...

Bring the pan to the boil, drop the eggs in from about three inch above the water, they hit the bottom and crack slightly, when boiled the shell just falls off.

Don't drop them from too high though!

Try it, it really works!

Thanks for the replies,we'll hopefully pick the chooks up tomorrow if I manage to finish the run. Had a little brainwave today of extending the run on the chicken coop we bought, I'll post up pictures when it's complete.
