Re: Panorama, Rubbish Dump Britain

So shocking! Like you LL I can't see why nothing can be done to punish those b's wth a strong enough deterrant. I also can't understand why it is left to collect into such massive amounts.

Re: Poor old cat

Only just read that you lost poor little Pat. I am so sorry Mo and know how upsetting it is when we lose a much loved pet. He was lucky that you gave him such a good life and didn't allow him to suffer any more. {hug} {hug}

Re: No alternative

Glad it's all done and you are recovering. Hope you are getting on top of the pain. I know what you mean about epidurals as I had both my hip replacements done with that method. The recovery is better than with general anaethesia. Carry on as you are doing and you will soon be walking about again an...

Re: Supermarket Online Shopping

I have also paid £4 for a delivery slot for my shopping to be deliver within a booked hour. but just realised that above the booking slot selection box is a choice of standard or saver. Re: When it becomes available, will you have the jab?

I think you would be advised not to have this one. i don't know if the advice will be the same with the Oxford one when ready. it wasn't known about this one until 2 carers had side effects.

Re: When it becomes available, will you have the jab?

like you Gwen I am allergic to asprin and penicillin which reacted by giving me a rash. I think they are talking about people who have a severe allergy to something. Not sure what is meant by severe. I do want to do the right thing but am a bit nervous about having this one. I heard this morning tha...

Re: When it becomes available, will you have the jab?

Sensible, June. It sounds as if you have looked into it. Are you finding isolation easier or harder as time goes on (far too long). I have found it very hard, especially as my family live so far away. They have their own families so have had no one in a "bubble". Have been told not to shop and just...

Re: When it becomes available, will you have the jab?

I heard on TV this morning that the first antibody injection has been given to a volunteer. Can't remember the professors name but he is working on the antibody line. He said that the treatment about to be rolled out may not work on all people. Apparently the way the vaccination works is help your i...

Re: When it becomes available, will you have the jab?

I am also not sure about having the jab when it becomesa available. Being asthmatic, suffering from atrial fibrillation and living alone at over 80, I would be nervous of side effects and not coping on my own. I am still isolating while I wait for further surgery so will probly carry on down that ro...

Re: No alternative

Not a pleasant op Gwen but it will make such a difference to your life when healing is complete. My husband had both his knees done and eventually walked such a lot with our dogs with no pain. As you say , no alternative so hopefully the wait won't be too long x
