My fav food used to be chicken, especially Indian style but not been able to face it for the passed 5 years since looking after girls. Infact became total veggie a year ago and I really miss steak and pork medallions. I know if I bought it from a butcher it shouldn^t worry me but I still can^t face ...

I just love it when I use the dustpan and brush to get the shavings out of the corner, Alice sits on the dustpan and has a lift to the box just hopping off when I throw the shavings into the bin!

Actually Alice loves being stroked in an upward motion from her feet to her tail. Yes this sounds weird but a few weeks ago I noticed her back feathers were sticking together and gently parted them and removed whatever sticky substance she had got on them. Since then, when she jumps on my lap I just...

Don^t worry, they are all different, I^ve known Molly and Dolly for 5 years and they will not be touched under any circumstances, Silkie loves being stroked and Alice and Abby would peck whenever they could. The best way to make friends is to have treats on you to get them used to taking them out of...

Think we^ve been here before? Started mixing porridge, mash and pellets together with hot water and a bit of weetabix thrown in. They totally ignore it when I put it in front of them but their trays are empty when I get home! Mash is a £1 cheaper in Countrywide though.

Your run looks lovely, as do the piccies of the girls. Nextdoor have a white silkie, she is black everyday but by the time she goes to bed she has got herself all cleaned up. I think she must be looking forward to the weather improving to give herself a rest. :-D

Hi Julia, I have the same problem I was being too soft and giving them treats in the morning too, only see them in daylight on the weekends, but as discussed in the layers pellets thread someone suggested mashing up the pellets with water so I attempted this, warm water, and by the time I close them...
