Re: For sale...There is no rush. If Sandy doesn't want the shelter can you use it Bob?
For sale...I have an Omlet Eglu Go for sale. It doesn't have the run as I already had a large run when I bought it. I also have a wooden shelter, this is not a house but a solid 3 sided and roofed shelter, great to put in a run as extra shelter if hens don't want to go in the house. £50 for both. Not sure if I...
Re: Biodiversity of the tropical reefsThere is so much down there that we don't know about. I sit glued to programmes about the deep. Many years ago I went on holiday to the Cayman Islands and one of the trips was to go down in a submarine (obviously designed for viewing) along a reef. It was amazing.

I remember as a child (I am now 72) my mother used to cook with everything from the animal. The most wonderful smell from pigs fry cooking. This was all the inside bits, heart, liver, lungs, kidney all cooked wi...
Re: A sad, sad dayThank you all. I will miss her, she was such a part of my daily routine. She never had a days illness in her life, which is probably not bad for a posh bird. She laid the most amazing eggs.
A sad, sad dayThe end of an era. My last chicken, Bertha, passed away very quickly this morning. She is a crested Legbar and about 9 yrs old. She had happily lived on her own for the past 2 yrs and even laid a few eggs earlier this year. She was fine when I let her into the run and had obviously eaten but just we...
