A little bit 'Castaway', but a good insight to the trials and tribulations of that era. ...

Re: Cheapest Petrol Prices in your Area

Two years since the last post in this thread, so I thought I'd post......

Bishop's Waltham - £1.17.9p
Ashford - £1.19
M25 - £1.48.

In some ways a 4p increase since the last post isn't that bad.

Or is it ! ?

Re: Autumn Watch - New England

I watched it, fascinating stuff. Anyone worried about it being UK only should be reminded that all five weekdays last week featured Countryfile Autumn Diaries which was very good. Keeping an eye open, there are quite a few UK based Nature Programmes on the Documentary Channels, so all is not lost. R...

Re: A racing pigeon?

You may recall a few years back a Racing Pigeon found it's way to the Cricket Club. After the second day of it roaming the Dressing Rooms I managed to catch it and got the Number, rang the Owner who was most abrupt. It had been flying back from France to Wigan... "Whatever you do, DO NOT FEED I...

They tend to venture off into fields and long grass through the warmer months.

Fingers crossed.

Re: snakes

Magic.
I'm surprised it didn't run off, they're quite shy usually.
Maybe protecting something.

Wonderful creatures (although I could never pick one up !!).

Re: Mice in Chicken Coop and Run Area

I agree food is the key.

Thing is mouse and rats are quite territorial, so sometimes it a case of better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

Get rid of one family and another turns up, usually pretty much instantly !!

I shall be venturing around Hampshire very shortly, the New Forest is supposed to have some Goshawks, another bird I have yet to see.
