Re: flies in the coopI have never heard or seen a Red top fly trap. We are surrounded by farmland, when the bullocks are in, the flies.....Oddly enough, we didn't seem to be troubled by them in the run. Could certainly do with one in the house, but you mention smell. We exist with a fly swatter in each room, and the dog...
Re: Oh DearHow worrying for your Wendy. Hope Vivien picks up.
Re: HoneyJust read your posts about Honey. She has had a very loving home Amie, and you obviously cared for her a great deal.
Re: Poorly girlIt seems strange in the run now, only Lizzie and Lottie. A lot of layers pellets left over today, and last night. Lily always the greedy one, when we first got them, she chased the others off from the food! My little dog was quite well again by teatime! She slept on my knee all afternoon, which was ...
Re: What I have rescued ?She looks a lively little madam.
Re: She didn't make itSo sorry to read of your loss, Wendy. I am sure Vanda must have had a wonderful life since March 2010.
Tink - sorry to read about Chestnut also.
Re: Poorly girlThank you all for your replies. Hope Vanda picks up, Wendy. Strange how fast Lily's comb lost its colour.
I now have a poorly dog!
Re: Poorly girlWe've just lost her. Poor little girl. We are going to bury her in the veggie patch where she just loved to peck and scratch. These past two months, we have attended seven funerals, the last one yesterday, and I said to Ted that I hoped that would be the end of it, little realising that we would loo...
Re: Poorly girlThanks, Steve, will do. How far up her body should the water be? Never done this before. She has moved a little in the box since we laid her in it, seems to be responding a little more.
Poorly girlLily is a very poorly girl this morning. Have brought her up to the house, but even in carrying her up the garden, she has deteriorated. Her crop is normal, no sign of any problems at the rear end. Her eyes are closed, and at one point, we thought she had gone. Don't think she will take any sugar wa...
Re: A....di productsVery disappointed in our three/four bird roast. We cut it in half prior to cooking -only two of us - put the other half in the freezer. I am not rushing to get it out either. More stuffing than meat.
Re: Goodbyes and hellos in 2011We only have hellos for this year. In July we brought Lizzie, Lottie and Lily to live with us, and keep us on our toes.
Re: A sad time.So sorry to read of your health problems, Don Roberto. It isn't easy as you get older, I too find it increasingly difficult to clean the run, and dread slipping and falling on a slippery surface, after just recovering from my second serious fall this year. All the very best to you and your girls, wh...
Re: Selling Eggs.I normally give my eggs away, to friends, and my wonderful neighbour, who looks after my dog when we are out. But, I don't wash them first, I just explain that they are not supposed to be washed. I had a thread on earlier about dirty eggs, but if you are selling them at the gate, do you clean them u...
Re: This morning started off terrible, but...Poppy looks beautiful, Lisa. Hope the birthday goes off all right. Take care.
