No they will be fine on their own davina112, the tiny beans you describe will soon grow into large lovely bean pod. Watch out for blackfly though. I take the top 5-6 inches off the top of mine to help deter the blackfly.

I can also vouch for Skeksis diet above and have followed it to nurse a sick hen back to where she is feeding/drinking herself again. Like Aceface It will be my go to diet when a hen needs help in the future. The tinned tomato plus the ACV certainly did help stimulate her appetite. Maggots are also ...

If you're not sure about her eyesight you could try shining a light into her eyes to see if her pupils react properly. If she's become partially blind its possible that could be why she's got so thin (apart from the worms). You may know I have a blind hen, she eats mash as she cant pick up pellets,...

Update on the poorly hen, We are still having to hand feed her although she feels stronger.
