The pen that the ducks are staying in is getting a bit muddy should I put some straw over the mud or will they be ok with the mud ?

Ducks coming to stay

I have some ducks coming to stay for 2 weeks in my holiday pens i have never looked after ducks before so if any one has got any advice. The owners do know i have never looked after ducks before they were let down at the last min so they are arriving in the morning.

I have 10 week old chicks and i was naughty at the weekend and bought 10 5 week old's at an auction the only place to put them was in with 10 week olds and they are ok so i think it would be easyer to do now rather than later.

i have 8 cat loos as nest boxes have used them for the last 4 years they are great i took the clips off and when you want to get to the eggs or a broody hen just lift the lid off with no clips its no hassel they are plenty big enough i have a lage mixed flock i also took off the flap at the front

I have 2 pigs for meat we had 3 last year. You will have to registar your land and get a cph number then you need a herd number when you move the pigs you have to fill in movement form. We use elec fenceing and a strong fence they are easy to keep i love keeping them but it is hard to send them of f...

I don,t know if all mapl n store's have them in there clearance sale but OH picked up a 12L halogen oven for £14.99 in our local store in Crawley today used it tonight to cook a roast chicken only took 1 hour and so easy to clean.

We had a problem with big bills for about three years we got them to put a tester thing on the meter which took them 10 mins to fit and an hour and a half to remove they said there was no poblem with the meter but are bills have been half the price since i think there was a problem but they didn't w...

I have 3 cats I use dried food I order it on line from pet meds it is free delivery its £47 a bag but it last them 2 to 3 months and there coats are shinner it was recomended by the vets.

I have Brahmas they are quite large ladys they have mixed well in my large mixed flock and have layed medium sized eggs. Mine are slowing down on their laying now as they are 3 years old.

We had pork from our pigs pots and cabbage from the garden so all home grown it was yummy.
