Re: Courgette Pickle Relish

Just cracked the first jar and it is delicious.
It is quite crunchy, very flavourful and pretty damned spicy, mind you when it said use 1 tsp of mustard powder I did use my Gunpowder mustard which has definitely given it a bit of bite.
Will do burgers tomorrow and bung some inside )eat(

Re: Abz on the Farm (BBC last night)

Could it all be a bluff? Thick sounding, incompetant city bloke who knows nothing about the country who could end up creating a rural paradise. Probably in a better position than most as he will be being paid to appear and have all those TV researchers putting him in contact with all sorts of expert...

Blackberry Jam

Our eldest has a couple of days off work and got bored so yesterday went out into the orchards at the back of us and picked a load of blackberries. When she got back she started cooking them up. I asked her what she was up to and she told me she was making jam. I asked her if she had everything she ...

Re: When can baby chicks move outside?

Should be OK as long as they keep dry and you bring them in if they are showing signs of distress by being cold.

Re: When can baby chicks move outside?

We play it by ear depending on the time of the year and what the weather is doing and they soon le...

Re: Students Results

Well, purely from a personal point of view, the fact that our youngest got three A's and two C's at A level inspite of her dyslexia and can now go to University to pursue her chosen career is as good a reason as any. Also news of youngsters acheiving something positive rather than being demonised al...

A tin bath is just a big pot so as long as it can drai so they don't get waterlogged they should be fine )t'
I'd wait until they have finished fruiting, cut back the fruited stems and then replant.
