Womens heavy cord trousers

Not sure where to put this topic, but here goes. For years I have bought heavy cord trousers, with a drawstring top from my catalogue. last year realised the three pairs I have were getting a bit thin at the knees. I wear them all winter long, and they are very warm. My catalogue is no longer stocki...

Re: A....di products

Just been back on this thread. Since I posted it, we have actually done a weekly shop in A....di. We have had two lots of vacuum packed beef, absolutely delicious, the carrots last a lot longer than Mr T's - I have to shop for a week. No bio yoghurt yet, though, or strong white bread flour. At prese...

Re: Amazon coming up trumps !!

We also use Amazon, what a huge variety of goods they sell, had no idea. We normally go for the books and DVD's. Just watching our Doc Martin series 1 - 4, with the "special" thrown in. Got a book last week from Amazon, which was being sold by the godson of the title of the book. Had a lov...

Quick learners

The girls had been free ranging from 11am (normally laid by then). At 3pm OH kindly went to put them back in the run, remove the nest boxes and put paper on the shelves. Two went inside the run, so he went off to look for number three, Lizzie, the mischief. As he passed the potting shed door, there ...

Re: Recovery of a Battery Hen - Nora

I am sorry to read the news of Nora's death, sad that you did not have the pleasure of seeing her feathered up, healthy, enjoying her new life. We don't do facebook, so could not post the picture, which was truly shocking to behold.

All the best with your hen rescue.

Re: Who doesn't let their birds free range?

My three free range from about 11am, after they have laid. If we go out, they are popped back in the run until our return. Our back garden is fast becoming a mess, soil chucked everywhere, and stuff uprooted. OH has not moaned too much yet, and we do have a decent sized front garden where the girls ...

Re: Our latest rescue, some pics

I cannot believe that people can keep hens going in the state your girl is in, poor little soul. People must be hiding their heads in the sand when they buy eggs from supermarkets.

Re: Walk -In- Run

The photos of the runs are a dream. Hope it meets all your requirements. OH put a tarpaulin roof over the uncovered half of our run last week, makes such a difference. Neighbour's husband wanted to know when we were installing central heating!
