Got my plan sorted will start by sowing onions in a week or two, beds are all dug over ready for the start of another season and I cant wait. Also not a great fan of rotovators they tend to leave a pan, and as we are on clay up here not very good for drainage although now my beds are all raised beds

One of the main reasons sprouts tend to blow is through wind rock, also when planting seedlings out must be planted out firmly (a good test is to pinch a leaf after planting and very steadily pulling vertically the leaf must tear, if the seedling pops out of the soil then they are not planted firmly...

Looks great Steve, and a bargain to boot ....A quick thought Steve it may be a good idea to maybe put in an airbrick in the bricked up fire place to discourage any damp problems in the future..

Wow! love that massive garden, I noticed that in the last shot that there is a considerable shadow cast over the veg plot, I wonder if this has caused any problems ?
